Opening Day is upon us! After a long Southern California winter, we are all ready to once again hear the crack of the bat and the cheering of the crowd as Spring Baseball returns to North Venice Little League!
We have a full day of baseball planned at North Venice, with our Opening Ceremonies starting at 9:00 AM.
Players should be in FULL uniform, and assemble with their teams on the Major Field (as always, team names will be listed on the fences). We ask that teams arrive PROMPTLY at 8:30 AM, with all teams READY TO GO at 8:50 AM for our 9:00 AM Start time. Please remember that only players, managers, and coaches may be on the field during the ceremony.
The fun doesn’t stop there. THREE OF OUR DIVISIONS WILL BE PLAYING A FULL SLATE OF GAMES ON OPENING DAY! The opening day schedules for each division are as follows:
JUNIORS (All games on the Junior Field)
- 12:45 pm- Dodgers vs. Yankees
- 3:15 pm- Cardinals vs. Yankees
MAJORS (All games on the Major Field)
- 10:00 am- Padres vs. Angels
- 11:45 am- Dodgers vs. Yankees
- 1:30 pm- Orioles vs. Cardinals
- 3:15 pm- A’s vs. Cubs
MINORS (All games on the Minor Field)
- 10:30 am- Padres vs. Angels
- 12:45 pm- Orioles vs. A’s
- 2:30 pm- Cubs vs. Cardinals
- 4:15 pm- Yankees vs. Dodgers
(Lower Division and 50/70 Families- don’t worry- your games will begin the following weekend!)
All day long, our WORLD FAMOUS Snack Shack will be offering up their awesome eats (starting with Pancakes all morning until they’re all gone, and then on to the regular menu), and all are encouraged to get their long-awaited Snack Shack fix!
