Cubs - 2024 District Champions!

The NVLL Junior Cubs pulled off an exciting 6-5 victory over the NVLL Junior Angels on Sunday, showcasing their resilience and determination.

The Cubs started strong, taking an early lead in the first inning with one run scored on an error and two more on another play. Danny's double in the top of the seventh was the game-changer, giving the Cubs the decisive lead.

Tiago pitched a solid start for the Cubs, allowing only one run and striking out five over three innings. The Cubs' offense was balanced and effective, with Rey, Danny, Tiago, Evahn, and James each contributing a hit. Danny went 1-for-1 with an RBI, and Scarlet and Nate led the team in patience at the plate, each drawing two of the Cubs' eight total walks. Scarlet also showed speed on the bases with two steals, contributing to the team's seven total stolen bases.

The Angels put up a tough fight, closing a four-run gap with key hits from Ryder, Benji, and Evan. Despite their effort, the Cubs' strong defensive plays and timely hits secured the win.

Overall, it was a thrilling game filled with great moments and teamwork, ending with the Cubs celebrating their well-earned victory.
