Dear North Venice Little League Community:
My name is Mark Hill, and I have the honor of taking over as League President from Tyrone Powell. As I transition into the role, I look forward to continuing Tyrone’s legacy of “Education-Based Athletics,” and working with my fellow Board Members, Managers and Coaches, and the entire NVLL community to run the #1 youth sports program on the West Side.
Now, a couple of announcements and updates for the coming weeks –
All Star Tournament Updates –
Congrats to our District 25 Champion Senior team! They are playing the Sectional tournament and their next game is tonight, Monday, July 5nd at 6:30pm at Hermosa Beach Little League.
Our Juniors team will begin District competition on Thursday, July 8th at 5PM at North Venice.
Our 50/70 Team is competing in the Sectional tournament, and begins their run this evening at 5PM at North Venice.
Our 12U team is still is playing hard in the District tournament, and their next game is on Tuesday, July 6th at the West LA Little League fields against Ladera.
Huge congrats to our 10U and 11U All Star teams. Their tournament runs have come to an end, but both teams played with great spirit and excitement. We’re all very proud!
NVLL is hosting the Juniors District Tournament, and the upcoming Sectional tournaments for the 50/70 and Junior Divisions. This is the first time in many years that we’ve been able to host these tournaments, so we’re all excited to see some great baseball on the hilltop! Check the NVLL website for updates, and please click here to sign up to volunteer to assist with the tournament! We need folks to help with field prep, with scoring and pitch count, and to help clean up as well. We appreciate any assistance that our community can give to help us host these tournaments well!
Fall Baseball at NVLL
We are very excited for the return of Fall Ball at NVLL. Registration will open later this week (we'll send out another announcement once it's open), and you will register through your account on our website at www.northvenice.org.
Early Bird registration is $125, and the fee will go up to $150 on August 1st. The Fall Ball season will start on the week of August 30th and will run through the end of November. More info on the Fall Ball season will be coming soon.
