Little League Age

We offer many programs for ages 4 to 16. Please see the below League Age determination chart as Little League International has recently made changes to the Little League Age Definition which could impact your child’s age for the 2025 Little League season.

Division and Friend Requests

“Play Up”, “Play Down” or “Player Friend or Coach” requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

  • TeeBall, 5Pitch, A, and AA divisions allow up to two (2) players, or one (1) manager request and one (1) player request. There are no guarantees requests will be accommodated.

  • Senior, Junior, 50/70, Major, and AAA do not have player or manager requests.

NVLL reserves the right to re-assign a child to a division other than the one in which he or she is originally registered or requested. This is done for a variety of reasons: safety, the need for equal teams, for the development of any one particular child, to ensure that each division has the requisite number of players, or the general well-being of the league as a whole.

Uniform and Team Photos
Each player will receive a uniform shirt, hat, one (1) team photo, and one (1) individual photo as a part of the cost of registration.

Game and Practice Schedules
NVLL baseball games and practices schedules won’t be published until after registration closes and team formation is complete (Mid February)

Residency Requirements

League Age 4 - 7

Children at the youngest level of the Little League® Baseball and Softball program (League Age 4-7) throughout the United States will have the ability to register for any Little League program they choose, without respect to any geography- or school-related eligibility requirements. Those players who register under this option will also be fully eligible to participate in all aspects of league play, including International Tournament play, for the duration of their Little League careers provided they have continuous and unbroken participation from the time they are League Age seven within the specific league where initially registered and provided all other participation eligibility requirements have been met.

League Age 8-16

Your child must reside in the North Venice Little League boundary area, or your child must attend a school in the NVLL boundary area.  In some cases, a waiver can be requested based on the situation. If a player league age 8-16 has a younger sibling age 4-7 who elects to play at NVLL, the older sibling will be waived to play at NVLL as long as the younger sibling continues to play.

Refunds

Registration fees will be refunded in full, less a $25 processing fee per player, prior to February 15, 2026. There are no refunds after February 15, 2026

Financial Assistance

NVLL has full or partial scholarships available to cover registration fees as needed. Please complete the Financial Support Request form if assistance is needed.
