North Venice Little League Return To Play Guidelines


REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS 

  • Hand Washing: We recommend you wash your hands often, and when soap and water is not available, we have hand sanitizer placed throughout the fields for your frequent use. 

  • Physical Distancing: Please maintain at least 6 feet between you and others.

  • Face Coverings: In accordance with the LACDPH, everyone must wear a face covering while at NVLL. For the utmost safety, we ask that everyone wear a 3-ply face coverings at all times while at NVLL, even if you have been vaccinated. 

  • Cleaning & Disinfecting:  Help do your part by keeping your area clean and disposing of trash. The restrooms will be cleaned three times per week. Hand sanitizer is available in each restroom and placed throughout the NVLL facility. 

  • Health Monitoring: Daily self-evaluated wellness screenings need to be completed by all participants (players, coaches and fans) prior to attending games. People experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not attend games and should contact a local health care facility immediately. 

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR UMPIRES 

  • Umpires must wear a 3-ply face covering. 

  • Hand sanitizing frequently during the game. 

  • Must conduct daily symptom self-evaluation assessments. Anybody experiencing symptoms or living with somebody experiencing symptoms must stay home.

  • Umpires MAY choose to not receive lineup cards. 

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECTATORS 

  • ALL MEMBERS MUST COMPLETE THE NVLL Daily Screening. 

  • Must adhere to 6-foot distancing guidelines for anyone not in the same family. 

  • Must conduct daily symptom self-evaluation assessments. 

  • Anybody experiencing symptoms or living with somebody experiencing symptoms must stay home. 

  • Spectators should bring their own seating or portable chairs when possible. 

  • Must not enter player areas on the field, behind the backstop, or in/around team dugouts and player/coach areas. 

  • Concession stands will be closed. Spectators may bring their own drinks or snacks, but no sharing of food or drinks. 

  • When bathrooms are open, they should be limited in use. It is highly recommended to wash or sanitize hands upon both entering and leaving the restroom. 

  • No spitting or chewing seeds, gum or similar products. 

  • Families and players should vacate the field/facility as soon as is reasonably possible after the conclusion of their game or practice, ideally within 15 minutes. 

MANDATORY PRACTICE & GAMEPLAY REQUIREMENTS 

  • Players must wear face coverings at all times when not on the field of play. 

  • All participants must adhere to 6-foot distancing guidelines when off field of play. 

  • Hand washing or sanitizing required between innings. Players are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer for personal use. Hand sanitizer should be placed in all common areas off-field for easy use.

  • No personal player bat bags/equipment bags in the dugout. Player equipment should be spaced accordingly in the designated player area outside of the dugout to prevent direct contact.

  •  No participants permitted to share equipment or personal items (glove, bat, helmet, etc). 

  • Gear should be used by the individual owner only and should be sanitized before and after game play. If catcher’s gear must be shared, it must be sanitized before use between players. 

  • Home TEAM keeps the book and the Visiting TEAM keeps the pitch count. 

  • No sharing of food or drinks. Team drink coolers are prohibited. 

  • All players must bring their own drinks or snacks. 

  • No spitting or chewing seeds, gum or other similar products. 

  • A tip of the hat or wave shall replace the customary post-game handshake.
